Job Description

Job Group Detailed Description 1. Customer Service
  • Ensure high quality of dishes in terms of taste and presentation, prepared in a clean and safe environment;
  • Coordinate with Team Leader/Housekeeping Supervisor to ensure a high level of hygiene;
  • Conduct weekly/monthly inspection together with Maintenance Engineering department to conduct routine maintenance/preventive maintenance of kitchen equipment;
  • Conduct daily checks to ensure that general hygiene standards as well as clothing and personal hygiene are observed.

2. Staff
  • Communicate openly and professionally with subordinates, superiors and employees of other departments;
  • Implement training plan;
  • Actively participate in daily kitchen briefings and ensure information is communicated to all staff in the kitchen;
  • Ensure proper communication, especially with restaurant staff, and keep in mind the needs of customers;
  • Be sure to arrive to work on time, maintain the highest level of uniform and personal hygiene, and behave professionally.

3. Quality
  • Ensure high standards of food quality and presentation through training and practice;
  • Assist the Executive Chef in the daily planning and enforcement of policies and procedures;
  • Coordinate daily grocery shopping list checks and stockpiling.

4. Profit
  • Keeping food costs at an acceptable level without affecting quality;
  • Daily check on the price and quality of goods;
  • Control labor costs effectively.

5. Other quests
  • Replace the Chef in managing all activities of the kitchen department when the Chef is absent;
  • Store food samples according to regulations;
  • And other duties as required.
