Job Descriptions
- Provide technical advice and support about fitting to customers, factories, merchandisers
- Communicate with designer on buyer's side
- Provide guidelines to ensure fitting meets product specifications
- Identify customers' fitting requirements based on their design concepts/sketches/photos
- Provide guidelines on production processes
- Manage the team to ensure the team's working effectiveness
- Apply appropriate quality as required by technical team according to product category
- Provide technical advice and support to design, merchandising and production team during product development and production
- Oversee the team in daily work in fit approval, size set sample sealing, paper pattern knowledge
- Responsible for handover of the new developments and liaise with relevant parties

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in fashion design/garment technology preferred
- Having at least 3 years of working experience in position of Technical Designer in Garment industry
- Good understanding of garment construction & pattern
- Proficiency in spoken and written English
- Experience in garment manufacturing or garment fitting on mannequin is a plus
- Experienced in CAD program/ Vsticher/ Shock snap software is a plus
- Ability to build strong relationships with the team, communicate effectively with internal and external parties
- Having deep understanding of global design trending

Job details

- Provide instructions to ensure fit/fit meets product specifications
- Define client's fit/fit requirements based on their design ideas/sketch/images
- Provide instructions on production processes
- Managing the team to ensure the team's working efficiency
- Apply the appropriate quality required by the engineering department depending on the type of product
- Provide technical advice and support to the design, sales and manufacturing team during product development and production
- Supervising team in daily work in proper approval, sample sealing to size, knowledge of stamping
- Responsible for handing over new development templates and liaising with stakeholders

Candidate Requirements
- Prefer a university degree related to Garment Technology/Fashion Design
- At least 3 years of working experience in technical design, preferably in the garment industry.
- Have a good knowledge of dress structure and pattern
- Fluent English speaking and writing skills
- Experience in apparel manufacturing or fitting on mannequins is a plus
- Experience in using CAD / Vsticher / Shock snap software is an advantage
- Ability to build strong relationships within the team, effective communication skills internally and externally
- Understanding of global design trends.
